Middle Peninsula Proud Sponsor of The Williamsburg Land Conservancy Partners
in Preservation Golf Tournament

Joe and Edward HarrowJoe Harrow, president of Middle Peninsula Insurance and Financial Services, has been an active supporter of the Williamsburg Land Conservancy for many years and currently serves on its board of directors. The Conservancy is dedicated to protecting and preserving significant natural, scenic, agricultural and historic land in the Historic Triangle. Through a combination of land preservation tools, education and advocacy programs, and shaping public policy, the Conservancy strives to maintain the character and ambiance of this special place where we live and work.

The Conservancy holds several events each year to help raise funds to continue its mission. One of those events was the Partners in Preservation Golf Tournament held this year on June 23rd. This tournament helps raise money to conserve and steward the land resources, including over 300 acres that has been placed under permanent protection by CWF. "

Although we didn't win," said Joe, "We had a wonderful time enjoying the outdoors and the other people involved. We all believe that preserving the natural and historical resources of our community not only contributes to a better way of life, but leaves a legacy to our children to enjoy and preserve. We are honored to be a part of the Conservancy."

SunTrust Men’s Charity Tennis Event

Bill at Sun Trust TennisTen years ago, a small group of Williamsburg, Virginia residents formed Men’s Charity Tennis, Inc. to host a tournament for tennis players in the Williamsburg area. Its purpose went beyond tennis, however. A primary objective was to provide financial support for Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg.

Bill Morrsion, financial advisor of Middle Peninsula Insurance and Financial Services, has been an active member of this group for 12 years and currently serves on its board of directors. He recently participated in the annual SunTrust Men’s Charity Tennis Event. This year's event raised $60,000 to benefit the Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg.
